  • Location / Manchester, England
  • Venue / Carling Apollo Manchester

The first show by the band in this city since November 1996 on the Slang tour.

The 7th time at this venue.

Guest drummer for The Def Leppard E.P. Frank Noon attended this show and was seen taking photos of the band as he had in Sheffield.

The venue is located to the south west of the city centre.

It was opened in August 1938 as the Apollo theatre which was its name until 1962 (and again in 2010).

It was then named as the Manchester Apollo from 1962 to 2003 before becoming the Carling Apollo Manchester until 2010.

Since September 2010 it has been named as the O2 Apollo Manchester.

Some of Def Leppard's tour posters at the time listed the venue incorrectly as "Carling Manchester Apollo".

The setlist was changed up again at this show with 'Foolin'' and 'Slang' back in place of 'BOTH' and 'Switch 625'.

A very good audience recording exists for this show.
