It is connected to the 24,000 capacity TD Place stadium.
It was opened in December 1967.
The name of the venue changed to Urbandale (2009–2010), Rona Centre (2010–2011) and J. Benson Cartage Centre (2011–2012).
Since 2012 it has been known as TD Place Arena.
