DEF LEPPARD Confirm The Stadium Tour 2020 w/ MÖTLEY CRÜE/POISON

Def Leppard 2020

Def Leppard have today confirmed and announced their 2020 North American tour of stadiums with Mötley Crüe and Poison.

After a few weeks of rumours and speculation the tour has now been fully confirmed and announced.

Mötley Crüe and Poison will join the band for 22 dates in 2020.

The co-headline 'The Stadium Tour' trek will start at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL on 7th July 2020.

The last show takes place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA on 5th September 2020.

Eight of the stadiums were played with Journey in 2018 with the rest being played for the first time.

Joan Jett & The Black Hearts have also been announced as the opener. They toured with Def Leppard in 2000 and again in 2008.

Previous Tours

Poison played before Def Leppard in the USA, Canada and Mexico in 2009, 2012 and more recently in 2017.

Mötley Crüe's only previous shows with Def Leppard in the USA were the September 1983 San Diego stadium show on the Pyromania tour and at the Chippewa Valley Rock Fest in Cadott, WI in July 1999 during the Euphoria tour. They went on to play six UK shows in December 2011 on the Mirrorball tour.

Mötley Crüe and Poison toured the USA together from May to August 2011 on the 52 date 'Glam-A-Geddon' tour.

Vivian Campbell toured with Mötley Crüe as a member of Whitesnake from June to October 1987 on their 'Girls, Girls, Girls' tour. Before this tour he played his first Whitesnake show at the Texxas Jam in Dallas, TX at Cotton Bowl Stadium on 20th June 1987 with Poison, Boston, Aerosmith and Tesla also on the bill.

Tour Rumours

Def Leppard's involvement with this tour package first came to light in late November via The Black Crowes manager. He mentioned the line-up last week during a live SiriusXM interview about his own band's 2020 reunion tour.

Rolling Stone then published a story citing an industry source as saying the tour was happening.
