Welcome to recap of all things Def Leppard in the year 2017 continuing with the month of September.

Another year for the band has ended and these updates will look back at the major events that took place over the last 12 months.

In September the 2017 tour resumed with the band's first shows in South America since April 1997 on the Slang tour.

The first show at Rock In Rio was broadcast live on local TV and online with an estimated crowd of over 100,000 people in attendance.

They also performed with The Who in Porto Alegre, Brazil alongside their shows with Aerosmith.

Def Leppard 2017 Buenos Aires, Argentina (Show Report)

Def Leppard played the fourth show of the 2017 South American Tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina and played a slightly longer set of 17 songs. Only the third time the band had performed in the city after two shows in April 1997.

Def Leppard were upgraded to headliners at the STGO Rock City festival in Santiago, Chile after Aerosmith had cancelled all of their tour dates due to singer Steven Tyler's illness.

Def Leppard played the first show of their 2017 South American Tour in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Their first show in the city since April 1997 with 14 songs performed. It was broadcast live with over 100,000 fans in attendance.
