Another year for the band has ended and these updates will look back at the major events that took place over the last 12 months.

In September the 2017 tour resumed with the band's first shows in South America since April 1997 on the Slang tour.
The first show at Rock In Rio was broadcast live on local TV and online with an estimated crowd of over 100,000 people in attendance.
They also performed with The Who in Porto Alegre, Brazil alongside their shows with Aerosmith.

Def Leppard 2017 Buenos Aires, Argentina (Show Report)
Def Leppard played the fourth show of the 2017 South American Tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina and played a slightly longer set of 17 songs. Only the third time the band had performed in the city after two shows in April 1997.
Def Leppard 2017 Porto Alegre, Brazil (Show Report)
The third show of the 2017 South American Tour was played in Porto Alegre, Brazil alongside headliners The Who. The first time the bands had ever played together.
DEF LEPPARD Set To Headline STGO Rock City As AEROSMITH Cancel
Def Leppard were upgraded to headliners at the STGO Rock City festival in Santiago, Chile after Aerosmith had cancelled all of their tour dates due to singer Steven Tyler's illness.
DEF LEPPARD Offer MEXICO CITY Concert Tickets For Earthquake Donations
Following a deadly earthquake in Mexico City the band and promoters offered free tickets in exchange for donations to their 3rd October show.
Def Leppard 2017 Sao Paulo, Brazil (Show Report)
The second show of the South American Tour was played in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Also last played in April 1997.
PHIL COLLEN Produced TESLA Album Stereo Animation Due In Spring 2018
The Tesla album produced by Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen had its title revealed and was given a tentative release date of Spring 2018.

Def Leppard played the first show of their 2017 South American Tour in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Their first show in the city since April 1997 with 14 songs performed. It was broadcast live with over 100,000 fans in attendance.

Phil Collen was announced to play on the 2018 G3 tour alongside Joe Satriani and Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci.

Phil Collen contributed to a new album by The Professionals and the release date for October was revealed.
30 Years Ago DEF LEPPARD Release POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME Single
This date marked 30 years since the release of the classic Pour Some Sugar On Me single in 1987 in the UK.
