The first show by the band in this city since August 2014 on the Summer Tour 2014 at XFINITY Theatre.
The fourth time at this venue.
The venue is located in the city centre and not far from the Connecticut River.
It was opened in January 1975 as Hartford Civic Center.
The name was changed in 2007 to XL Center. It was closed from 1978 to 1980 due to a roof collapse.
The opening night of the 2018 North American tour with 16 songs performed. DL played from 7:30 pm to 9pm.
This venue was last played in March 1993 for an In The Round show on the Adrenalize tour under its original name of Hartford Civic Center.
Journey closed this opening show with a 15 song setlist.
The show came one day after the 38th anniversary of their first ever American show in Santa Monica.
'Man Enough' was played for the first time in Hartford. As was 'WLAHC' which also made its USA debut outside of Las Vegas.
Lasers were used for the first time since the 1993 Adrenalize tour. A new show intro made use of three video screens hung above the lighting rig which moved down to the stage floor before rising again to reveal the band members.
