  • Location / Pittsburgh, PA, USA
  • Venue / Civic Arena
  • Event / An evening with Def Leppard

The first show by the band in this city since January 1988 on the Hysteria tour.

The third time at this venue.

This venue featured the first retractable roof in a sports venue in the world. Between 1999 and 2010 it was renamed as Mellon Arena due to its distinctive dome shaped roof.

The venue was located near the Downtown area of the city and just south of the Allegheny River.

It was opened in September 1961.

The band had to borrow a transportable roof from Neil Diamond to be able to play the arena and hang their own lighting rig.

Joe sang a few seconds of a verse from 'Tonight' during the acoustic medley section with Sav playing guitar.

The whole band then did a short 1 minute 30 second version of the Rolling Stones song 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' (first verse and chorus only).

A decent quality audience filmed video exists from this show.
