  • Location / Pittsburgh, PA, USA
  • Venue / Civic Arena

The first show by the band in this city since June 1983 on the Pyromania tour.

The second time at this venue which was closed down in June 2010 and later replaced by the nearby PPG Paints Arena.

A sold out show attended by almost 17,000 fans which was a sign of things to come later in the year. The city is known as a big market for the band and a sort-of twin city to Sheffield with an industrial background.

This venue featured the first retractable roof in a sports venue in the world. Between 1999 and 2010 it was renamed as Mellon Arena due to its distinctive dome shaped roof.

The venue was located near the Downtown area of the city and just south of the Allegheny River.

It was opened in September 1961.
