The venue is located in the city centre near Corpus Christi Bay and a few blocks South of the Concrete Street Amphitheater played by the band in 2003.
It was opened in 1929 as The Ritz Theatre.
In 1972 the name was changed to Ritz Music Hall.
The venue was listed on the Blackfoot tour schedule as "Hall-The Ritz Theatre".
It hosted major concerts from 1974 to 1988.
It was closed in 1989 but is scheduled to reopen.
