  • Location / Liverpool, England
  • Venue / Empire Theatre

The first show by the band in this city since January 1980 on the club tour.

The third time at this venue and fifth visit to Liverpool.

Another show on the On Through The Night UK and World tour with Magnum and local/young acts in support.

The venue is located in the city centre close to Liverpool Lime Street railway station and one street away from the Royal Court Theatre that would be played in 1981/1983.

It was opened in March 1925 and renovated in 1977 and 1999.

The opener for this show was Export, a local Liverpool based New Wave Of British Heavy Metal band who were formed in 1979.

They released a self-titled debut album in 1980 and featured Harry Shaw (lead vocals), Steve Morris (guitars/piano), Chris Alderman (bass) and Lou Rosenthal (drums).

Like Def Leppard they also supported Slade and recorded an In Concert special at the BBC's Paris Theatre. They reformed in 2010 and have released two albums since.
