Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott played the new single Rejoice on his weekly radio show in the last hour with a transcript available.

The new single 'Rejoice' was released on 22nd January 2026 along with a lyric video.

Joe gave the song a debut on his own show.

Joe played the new single 'Rejoice' on his weekly Planet Rock show earlier tonight.

He once again commented on how good it feels for them to release new music as he kicked off the show with the song.

Starting the show with this song might also be another indication it will opened the Las Vegas residency shows.

Joe also stated once again the band intend to release another new single in the summer to coincide with the UK tour.

As mentioned he told Planet Rock on Thursday that the next album will be announced at the same time as this next single release but also still described it as a "work in progress".

Yes, I’m in Los Angeles, where Def Leppard are rehearsing for our month-long residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Now, where else could I start the show than with this?

It’s a brand new year.

Yes, we’ve made no secret of the fact that we have been recording new material.

We have a new album in the making.

We’re not sure when it’s going to come out.

But it seemed the right thing to do in this day and age.

It’s easy and convenient to be able to just write a song and release a song whenever you feel like it.

And we felt like it.

I thought it was a good idea to put this new song out for the Vegas run.

And I have no doubts that when we start the European tour, which of course includes the UK in June, that we will probably release another new song then.

So it all ties in very nicely.

And this new song, which I’m very excited about, is called Rejoice.
