The first show by the band in this city. For the first time in the festivals history a crowd fight occurred during Leppard's set. 100,000 people are supposed to have attended although Peter Mensch said there were only 7000 during Lep's set on the 2nd stage in the UK Tour Prog from 1987. On the Amsterdam 1988 bootleg Joe mentions this show and that it "was a load of shit". The band were second on a bill of six acts and only on the second stage. Deacon Blue headlined the main stage.
