  • Location / Newcastle, England
  • Venue / Newcastle City Hall

The first show by the band in this city since April 1980 on the On Through The Night tour.

The second time at this venue.

Another show on the High 'n' Dry UK tour with Lionheart and MORE in support.

The venue is located in the centre of the city and not far from the Newcastle United football ground St. James' Park and on the north side of the River Tyne.

It was opened in 1927 and is currently known as the O2 City Hall Newcastle.

It has hosted concerts from at least 1957 onwards.

At the end of 'Lady Strange' the band went into the middle heavy section of 'When The Walls Came Tumblin' Down'.

This short version started at the 'All the women were captured and chained'. Joe also added the city name during this song ('When Newcastle came tumblin' down').

'High 'N' Dry (Saturday Night)' was extended with an extra middle section where Joe got the crowd to chant 'Saturday Night' a few times.

A decent quality audience recording exists from this show.
