  • Location / Bristol, England
  • Venue / Colston Hall

The first show by the band in this city since April 1980 on the On Through The Night tour.

The second time at this venue.

The venue is located in the city centre.

It was opened in September 1867.

It was redeveloped in 2009.

The opening show of the band's second major UK headlining tour following the 'High 'n' Dry' album release on 6th July.

The 14 song setlist played on this leg featured an even split of seven songs from each of the two studio albums.

Three songs were played for the first time with some having made their debut already in 1980 and earlier on the tour with Rainbow through Europe in June.

The studio version of 'Switch 625' was used as the show intro.

Support came from fellow UK bands Lionheart and MORE.

Lionheart featured ex-members of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Drummer Frank Noon, who had played guest drums of The Def Leppard E.P., left the band before this tour.

Bassist Rocky Newton had also been in The Next Band with Frank and went on to sing backing vocals on 'Pyromania'.

MORE featured ex-Iron Maiden singer Paul Mario Day.
