  • Location / Retford, England
  • Venue / Retford Porterhouse/The Porterhouse

The first show by the band in this this town in Nottinghamshire since 7th July.

The second time at this venue.

The venue is located in the centre of the village.

It hosted concerts from around 1973 until at least the end of 1989.

The band had plated two shows here in July 1979.

The venue was usually called Retford Porterhouse,

The Porterhouse or sometimes Porterhouse Club on concerts adverts.

This show was attended by various UK A&R men including Dave Bates who signed the band to Phonogram records on 5th August 1979.

Rick llen later described the show as being incredibly hot and having to have water poured over him to keep cool (see Tour Story).
