Show Intro

"Evening all, and welcome once again to the Joe Elliott show right here on you know where, yes the wonderful Planet Rock."

"Great to be with you once again, always a pleasure."

"I've only got 60 little minutes, one solid hour to play you some, in my humble opinion, wonderful music."

"So let's get started shall we, always love many, always trust few."

"Let's waste some time with Ricky Warrick."

Ricky Warwick

"He's always been a big fan of the positive negative."

"In other words, Ricky Warrick's glasses are always half full and half empty, I should know he was best man at my wedding."

"There from his second album, Love Many, Trust Few, we just heard Anybody Wanna Waste Some Time."

The Who

"Not me, let's get on with it, this is The Who."

"And before that from just a couple of years earlier in 1971 we heard the mighty Who from the album Who's Next with Bargain."

Elton John

"From one of the greatest double amps ever made, in my humble opinion, that is Elton John."

"1973 is the year the album is called by Yellow Brick Road."

"The song that we just heard, Grey Seal."

Violet Breed

"Now I'm pretty sure that most of you have heard of the band Tesla, they opened for Def Leppard on the Hysteria tour back in 1987-88 and in fairness a few times since."

"Well a couple of members of the band, namely Brian Wheat and Dave Rude have branched out with a side project which features a young singer from Basingstoke called Alex, spelt A-L-E, capital X."

"Here they are, this is Violet Breed."

"And before that there's an album coming but for now it's just a lead off single, brand new side project started by two guys from Tesla, Brian Wheat and Dave Rude with a young singer from Basingstoke called AleX."

"They are Violet Breed, the song we heard, Awake."

Roy Wood

"What an amazing talent Roy Wood is, and I say is because he's still with us, he's not a was yet."

"I don't think he's making new music much any more, but look at his catalogue of work through The Move, through ELO, through Wizzard, his solo records, incredible stuff."

"And there from the album Boulders we just heard a wonderful bit of work called Dear Elaine."

"You are listening to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock."

"Coming up we're going for the one with Yes.

Yes

"And before that we heard Yes taken from the 1977 magnum opus Going for the one we heard Parallels."

Mott The Hoople

"One of Ian Hunter's more poignant lyrics, a wonderful bit of work from the 1974 album The Hoople."

"That is Mott The Hoople with Alice."

Jack White

"Well I'm still listening to it as announced about a month ago, and it's still Jack White."

"And before that Jack White, who to my ears seems to be scratching his inner Blodwyn Pig."

"It sounds so much like a British band from the late 60s that was born out of I believe Jethro Tull maybe."

"The album by Jack White is called No Name, the song that we heard It's Rough on the Rats."

"If you're asking."

"Well I wasn't, but thanks anyway Jack."

Atomic Rooster

"They were a very strange band those guys, rising from the ashes of The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown."

"Not the sort of group that you'd expect to have a couple of hit singles, but they did."

"It is Atomic Rooster there with one of them, the song is Tomorrow Night."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week, been a real pleasure as always."

"I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time, so don't go anywhere."

"Until then I shall leave you with this."

"One of the greatest records in my collection from 1977, the second album from the wonderful Pat Travers."

"The album is Makin' Magic, the song You Don't Love Me."

"Until next week, see ya!."
