DEF LEPPARD's DIAMOND STAR HALOS Target Edition Reveals Upcoming Singles

Def Leppard's new studio album Diamond Star Halos is being released in the USA Target store with two exclusive versions.

'Diamond Star Halos' is the band's 12th studio album.

As announced on 17th March it will be released on Friday 27th May 2022.

Target in the USA are listing two exclusive versions on CD and Vinyl.

One appears to be the UK Deluxe Edition plus a Target sticker on the front and featuring the same two bonus tracks 'Goodbye For Good This Time (Avant-garde Mix)' 'and 'Lifeless (Joe Only Version)).

The second is a Limited Edition Red/Yellow vinyl edition which differs from the UK one in that the vinyl is translucent.

Interestingly this one has a front sticker which appears to reveal the first three singles from the album.

Or rather reveals the third one as 'This Guitar' as it lists 'Kick', 'Fire It Up' - already revealed/released as singles.

'This Guitar' makes sense as a single in that it features special guest Alison Krauss and is, as Joe sometimes says, 'front loaded' on the tracklisting.

Stickers revealing singles dates back to at least the Slang era when 'Slang', 'Work It Out' and 'All I Want Is Everything' were listed ahead of their releases.

These three songs also seem the likely candidates for those that were filmed for promo videos in the UK in recent weeks.

Diamond Star Halos - Press Quotes

Diamond Star Halos is the brand new album from Def Leppard, their first since their chart topping self-titled Def Leppard record in 2015.

Written by the band over the past two years it features 15 tracks including the anthemic, stadium-ready singles “Kick” and “Fire It Up”, with guest vocals

from Alison Krauss on “This Guitar” and “Lifeless”.

The album title references T. Rex’s “Bang a Gong (Get It On)” with nods to T.Rex, David Bowie and Mott The Hoople across the album, which mixes the sound of their classic spirit with modern fire.
