DEF LEPPARD Start Rehearsals For The Summer Stadium Tour In California

Def Leppard have begun rehearsing for their upcoming The Summer Stadium Tour 2024 at a studio in California.
The Summer Stadium Tour 2024 was first announced on 7th December 2023.
The tour starts on 6th July 2024 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO and ends on 10th September in Salt Lake City, UT.
The Summer Stadium Tour Rehearsals
The band have now started rehearsing for the 2024 tour in California with just 34 days to go until it starts.
Phil Collen's guitar tech John Zocco has started to post photos on his Instagram page.
He has posted two photos from inside the rehearsals so far and revealed they will rehearse for a couple of weeks before taking a short break as they did in 2022.
BTW - If like me you zoomed in on the setlist in the latest pic it is a joke/fake setlist.
The Def Leppard logo at the top and a 15 song setlist of songs by Rush.
Mates Studios
If you recognise the brickwork in the photos below you will know the location is Mates Studios in Burbank, California.
The site of many rehearsals since early 1992 when they first rehearsed with Vivian Campbell ahead of the 'Adrenalize' tour.
New Stage Design
If you have been looking at the Ticketmaster seating charts you will have noticed the new stage design mentioned by Joe last year has kind of been partially revealed.
The traditional 'Thrust' / walkway stage will feature a new design.
A circular design with a runway in the middle and two sections for fans called Pit Left and Pit Right.
These extend 20 rows out and contains two standing sections for fans.
And if you recognise this set up idea it's probably from Metallica's stadium tour staging from the past 30 years or more.
An idea first used on their Black album tour in 1991 to 1993.
A tour where they themselves 'borrowed' Def Leppard's In The Round staging idea but also incorporated a 'Snake Pit' inside it with room for about 100 to 200 fans.
They have since continued to use this stage design idea for many of their recent stadium tours. Including their 2019 tour with these shots taken in London and Amsterdam:

A similar view will be seen in many of the Def Leppard photos this year but with two sections of fans and the walkway in the middle between them.
And if you are not already going to a USA stadium show you can buy tickets for many shows for as little as 35 dollars.

Many of the shows have yet to sell out unlike the 2022 Stadium Tour with Motley Crue.
