Def Leppard 2025

Def Leppard are scheduled to play two private events in the USA in October as part of their 2025 tour.

Two shows to be played alongside the public show in Indiana.

Las Vegas Private Show

As you may have heard/read in this interview from 5th September, Joe said the band plan to play their last show of 2025 in Las Vegas, NV on 15th October.

With no public show announced it appears this is another private show and probably similar to the one played in Nashville, TN in 2024 for a corporate event.

So far no details have been found of the specific event other than a few business trade shows taking place on the same date.

Los Angles/2025 Backyard Concert

However via Pearl Jam fans another "very" interesting private show has popped up for 3rd October in Los Angeles.

More specifically in the Pacific Palisades area and, as it turns out, a traditional charity event hosted by The Who.

The Who are currently set to end their 'The Song is Over North American Farewell Tour' in Las Vegas at MGM Grand Garden Arena on 28th September.

Their last full public headline show in the USA and possibly ever...but not quite.

For the last ten years they have been playing a show called the Backyard Concert which benefits Teen Cancer America and the UCLA Health Center.

Pearl Jam fans have reported that Eddie Vedder is scheduled to play this show (as he has in the past) alongside The Who, following a solo appearance at his own Ohana Festival.

And Def Leppard are on the line up which also features some great artists:

The Who, John Fogerty, Peter Frampton, The Doobie Brothers, Eddie Vedder, Cheap Trick and Joe Bonamassa.

Past Backyard Concerts

Past information about this show reveals it is a strictly private invite only event with guests paying multiple thousands of dollars to attend.

After the 2019 show the last one was in 2022 and titled 'Backyard Concert The Magic Returns' after the delay caused by the pandemic.

Green Day played that show along with The Who and lots of pics and videos were posted online (and various news sites also reported on the show afterwards).

The 2019 event was played by The Who with Foo Fighters, Pink and Kenny Loggins.

A small stage is set up in the 'backyard' of a private residence in the Pacific Palisades area near Los Angeles.

Attendees are only given the address once they pay for the tickets (the 2019 ones cost $5,000 each).

Sadly the casual fans won't be able to attend but at least, like Vegas, we have a heads up of when to check for online posts.

Past shows by The Who and other artists for this event only say "private venue", "private residence" or "venue unknown" and they generally don't advertise it beforehand.

None of the artists have shows scheduled on this date.

Listed as Master Of Ceremonies, Judd Apatow was also part of the 2019 event.

It will be worth looking at Rick's Instagram on this night to see if he posts a pre-show video before they play.

The timings suggest it will likely be much earlier than the usual 8pm or 9pm starts.

Def Leppard And The Who

Def Leppard toured with The Who in 2017 in South America which led to them being part of the Teenage Cancer Trust shows in London in March 2018.

Joe also performed with Roger Daltrey and Eddie Vedder at Shepherd's Bush Empire in November 2014 for another show benefiting the Teenage Cancer Trust as well as singing lead vocals on 'Love, Reign O'er Me'.
