Def Leppard have just been announced to headline the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany in 2026.
Another show has been confirmed for 2026.

Def Leppard have just been announced as one of the headliners of Germany's Wacken Open Air festival in Summer 2026.
It takes place from 29th July to 1st August 2026 in the village of Wacken in Northern Germany near the town of Itzehoe in Schleswig-Holstein state.
Wacken is located to the North of the previously played cities of Hamburg (46 miles) and Breman (117 miles).
Def Leppard are one of the first 35 bands to be announced.
Other announced acts include friends and former support act Europe, plus In Flames, Powerwolf and Savatage.
The first regular headline show for 2026 after the 12-date 'Las Vegas Residency' announced for February.
The festival is also celebrating it's 35th anniversary in 2026.
Tickets go on sale later tonight at 8pm.
European Tour/Festival
One show in Europe could be the start of a series of European and/or UK shows coming in 2026.
The last visit taking place in Summer 2023 on The World Tour.
This could also be one of the 'European things' mentioned in 2024 by Phil alongside the upcoming 'Radio 2 In The Park' show in September.
It also sees the band in Europe in Summer 2026 which may put them into contention for Download (and maybe even the 'less likely' Glastonbury).
New songs may feature in the setlist at Wacken with a new studio album set for likely release in 2026.
