DEF LEPPARD Live In Bethel, NY 2025 (Show Report/Setlist)

Def Leppard played a 2025 tour show last night in Bethel, NY with 18 songs performed.

The show took place at the 15,000 capacity Bethel Woods Center For The Arts.

Another outdoor amphitheatre show.

The first show in this town since July 2015.

Back In New York

After making their way back into the USA after the run of shows in Canada, with a return to Mount Pleasant, Michigan, it was time to do the same in Bethel, New York.

Mount Pleasant and Bethel both being played for the first time ten years ago on the 2015 tour at the same venues.

The Bethel Woods Center For The Arts famous for containing the site of the original Woodstock festival within it's grounds.

Lots of green hills and trees surrounding the traditional roofed amphitheatre venue looking not unlike the hills around Sheffield.

The weather forecast predicted possible heavy rain and thunderstorms but thankfully they were nowhere to be seen by the time the show started.

No Stadium Tour 2022 "Show Pauses" here.

Almost a repeat of what happened in Nashville, TN on the same date in 2024 during The Summer Stadium Tour.

The weather looked great as a large crowd arrived ready to get rocked in New York.

The Struts

Last time in 2015 they played with Tesla but this time Joe's favourites The Struts were back for a third show in 2025.

Kicking things off at 8pm while it was still light and ending as the sun set over the scenic amphitheatre.

The band had posted a short video of themselves visiting the Woodstock site before show time.

They played a well received 9 song set that included 'Pretty Vicious' and 'Could Have Been Me' (as heard on The Joe Elliott Show).

They now hand over to another support act announced at the same time with Bret Michaels returning at the next show.

Like most of the support acts in the last week or so they were watched by a certain drummer called Rick.

Rock At Woodstock

Starting earlier than normal at around 9:15pm Def Leppard started in the darkness of New York.

And unlike a few recent shows those who were following online could see quote a lot of the show.

Another rocking "rock" start with 'Rock! Rock!', 'Rocket' swiftly followed by 'Let's Get Rocked'.

A rock was not out of the question for Bethel.

Up to 15,000 fans packed the seating area under the roof near the stage and up on the lawn.

Those in the lawn section were treated to extra views with a massive screen in the middle above the stage and two extra side screens.

Not quite the 8 or more in Milwaukee but enough to give extra close up views which were captured by one fan broadcasting most of the show.

And it all sounded very good indeed with another great show played on this tour with it's odd mix of venues.

First Show Anniversary

Joe celebrated the "48th anniversary of our first ever gig" when introducing Sav before 'This Guitar'.

Unlike the rest of us who celebrated the 47th anniversary on 18th July...

No mention this time of Woodstock or a Joni Mitchell acoustic snippet.

But Joe did say the crowd had been "amazing" at the end.

And said - "Let's do this again one day." which for Bethel hopefully won't be another ten year wait.

Bra Of Ages

Some comedy during 'Rock Of Ages' as Joe secretly hung a bra thrown onstage on to Phil's mic stand.

As captured in a Short video - see video below (in fact the full show is now available).

Next up they move to a city in New York state after playing a town and to a very familiar amphitheatre venue.

18 Song Setlist

An 18 song setlist was played.

'Just Like '73', 'Let It Go', 'Die Hard The Hunter' and 'This Guitar' were played here for the first time.

Bethel History

The first and only other visit to Bethel was in July 2015.

A show also played at the same venue.

The last time they played in the state of New York was in Flushing in August 2024 on The Summer Stadium Tour with Journey.

Last night's show was the 2nd performance in Bethel.

The next Def Leppard show takes place in Saratoga Springs, NY on 22nd July.
