- Location / Sheffield, England
- Venue / Bramall Lane
A second show in this city following The Leadmill live stream club show on the 19th May and first major show since December 2018.
The first time at this venue.
The venue is located to the South of the city centre and just down the road from the Portland Works (Spoon Factory) building where the band first rehearsed and performed together in 1977-1979.
It was opened in April 1855 and is recognised as the oldest still running football stadium to host professional matches in the world.
It was originally a cricket ground and was named after the Bramall family who made gravel.
Only Bruce Springsteen (1988 X2) and Rod Stewart (2019) are known to have played major rock shows here before now.
Joe has attended many football matches here to see his team Sheffield United (The Blades) and Sav played as a trainee footballer here in the early to mid 1970s.
His son Tyler is the guitarist for the opening band VIVAS.
Joe is known to have played one football match here in the mid 80s. A game which Irish football legend George Best also played.
The opening night of the European/UK leg of The World Tour with Def Leppard closing.
Rehearsals and sound checks took place on 21st May between 12 to 8pm with residents warned of noise on the Sheffield United website.
Another triumphant home city show for the band with the regular 17 song World Tur setlist played.
