Def Leppard Concert Review By Darrell Padgett
One Question for you: Do you wanna get rocked? If so, just go to any Def Leppard show on the planet. It will happen!
The boys rolled into Charlotte in support of their "X" album, out last year. The opening songs were all off of the "Adrenalize" album, one of my favorites. I must say these guys still move like they are in their twenties! Incredible stage presence.
They played a few songs off of the "X" album, one of which was dedicated the the British and American armed forces. Too cool! Of course, "Pour Some Sugar on Me", "Rocket", "Too Late for Love", and "Hysteria", were all there. How the women loved those songs. Some songs I wasn't expecting were, "Animal" and "Make Love Like a Man". One of my favorites, "Photograph", which Joe sang effortlessly. Absolutely the best I've ever heard.
In the middle of the show was an acoustic set featuring two covers, "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Push" from Matchbox Twenty. Then back to Def Stuff. It was a full two hour set and every song was a hit. There were songs off of almost every album. If you've never seen it, the come highly recommended! Be sure to get a copy of the new album, "X", in stores now! To quote a verse out of "Animal", "And I want, and I need..." yes, Def Leppard. Definitely!.
