The venue is located in to the South East of the city centre part of the University of Freiburg.
It was opened in September 1954.
It hosted concerts from at least 1956 to 2006 and is now a temporary library for the University.
This show was originally advertised in the German music press as being in Ludwigshafen at the Eberthalle venue (see Photo Galleries). The venue was later changed to Freiburg before tickets went on sale.
Earlier in the day the band performed a playback performance of 'Hysteria' in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral in nearby Strasbourg, France for Japanese TV.
A decent audience recording exists from this show which does not include 'Travellin' Band'. As with a few of the other European shows it may or may not have been played.
