It was opened in April 1934.
From 1934 to 1943 it was known as Municipal Auditorium.
The venue was closed down in April 1991 and then demolished in 1992.
The 18,000 capacity Enterprise Center now stands on the site of the venue and was opened in 1994 as Kiel Center.
