It was opened in 1964 as the Odeon Theatre music venue.

It hosted concerts from at least April 1968 to December 1981.

It closed as a music venue in 1982 when it became a cinema once more and closed down again in August 2003.

The building first opened in 1030 and was named as New Victoria Cinema.
