The band had previously recorded a live radio session in this town in an old church for Radio Piccadilly in Manchester.
The session was the first one to be recorded by the band and took place in June 1979.
The venue hosted concerts until at least September of 1984.
The building was later demolished sometime in the 90s to make way for a factory.
