DEF LEPPARD To Play Full HYSTERIA Album At UK's 2019 DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL

Def Leppard have been confirmed to headline the Download Festival in England as part of their 2019 UK/European tour.

The second show to be announced for the 2019 tour.

Def Leppard have just been confirmed to headline on Friday 14th June 2019. The opening night of the festival and their second time in this slot.

The festival takes place from 14th to 16th June 2019 at Donington Park in Derby, England.

Slipknot and Toll are the other headliners which were announced at 2pm UK time today.

As with the UK tour in December the full 'Hysteria' album will be played at this show. This means they will be playing two songs debuted in the UK in August 1986 once again at Donington Park - 'Run Riot' and 'Love And Affection'.

The first appearance here came in August 1986 as part of Rick Allen's comeback tour at the old Monsters Of Rock Festival.

They returned in June 2009 as headliners with Rick again receiving en emotional introduction from Joe. A second headline appearance followed just two years later in June 2011 as the Mirrorball world tour started.

Past Def Leppard tour mates Tesla, Whitenake and Slash ft. Myles Kennedy are also playing the festival.

This date brings the number of UK Hysteria & More shows to 12 and seems to confirm the Barcelona show and all other European festivals (and/or solo shows) in Summer 2019 will also feature the full album.

Two shows have now been announced for 2019 with a festival show already confirmed for Barcelona, Spain in July 2019. That date might explain why DL have not been also announced for Download in Madrid which has today confirmed Slipknot and Tool as headliners.
