The Joe Elliott Show - 8th September 2018 Quote

"And what a strange week it has been since we were last together folks. I caught the most ridiculous head cold. Please tell me how you catch a head cold in 80 degree weather. Answers on a postcard."

"Also you may have read if you've been on the Internet and you're a Leppard fan that we had to cancel a show in Albuquerque actually as it was taking place. Journey were five songs into their set when the winds picked up so heavily that they were literally blowing the lights and the PA five, six feet across the stage. It was so dangerous we had no option but to cancel."

"We've luckily been able to reschedule it to the 18th September if anybody's listening from over that side of the world. Whic basically means our 14 day break is now a 10 day break. But that's OK."

Def Leppard Albuquerque, NM - Joe Elliott Official Statement

"No one is more disappointed than us that we couldn't perform in Albuquerque last night, but circumstances bein what they were it was just way too dangerous for Journey to continue their set let alone us start ours."

"Knowing from past tragedies how stormy weather can be catastrophic at outdoor venues, for the safety of our fans, our crew & ourselves, the decision to reschedule the performance although disappointing, was absolutely the right thing to do."
