Def Leppard/Whitesnake Tokyo 2008
Def Leppard will soon announce a show in Tokyo, Japan for November according to Japanese fans.
Online chat among local fans in the last few days reveals that a date may be announced soon for 9th November.
The show is likely to take place at the Nippon Budokan according to the local fans. It appears the show has been mentioned in the local press.
NOTE - The tour has now been announced with four dates confirmed.
The listed ticket price is 13,000 yen.
It's now highly likely Japan may be the first place to get more than one song played from the new album. Phil was the last member to mention Japan in a recent interview saying tour dates here and in Australia would coincide with the new album's release. He also mentioned New Zealand so a date there "may" yet be announced.
The band last played here in 2008 for two nights with Whitesnake.
The last visit to Japan was in November 2011 when they played two shows in Tokyo and one in Osaka. The longest shows of the Mirrorball tour with 22 songs played each night.
The band's usual promoters UDO have yet to confirm the show along with the venue.
There is usually a gap of at least five or six days between Japanese and Australia dates so other shows might be likely.
The three show visit to Australia which was announced last week starts on 17th November in Sydney.
UPDATE - Apparently Japanese fans found a mobile link 3 days ago which said the tour will be announced on 1st June - a date in Osaka is also included (see below).
