Def Leppard have today announced three shows in Australia with Live as special guests.

The three dates include a show at Sydney's Qantas Credit Union Arena on 17th November which was mentioned online over the weekend.

Two other shows will be played in Melbourne and Perth. Not a full tour as expected (as they did in 2008 and 2011).

The Melbourne show takes place a day after Sydney on 18th November at Rod Laver Arena.

The band also return to Perth on 21st November. They will be playing a new venue (for them) called Red Hill Amphitheatre.

97 shows have now been announced for the 2015 world tour.

Live and Baby Animals will support in Sydney and Perth with local act Electric Mary supporting in Melbourne.

Live parted company with their original singer Ed Kowalczyk a few years ago and are now fronted by Chris Shinn. They released their first album with him in October 2014 called "The Turn".

Australian group Baby Animals reformed in 2007 and had major success in the early 90s.

Def Leppard Australian Tour Dates 2015 - Press Release

Def Leppard, one of the world’s dominating powerhouses of rock, have announced details of their 2015 Australian tour – the first show kicks off in Sydney on 17th November.

With over 100 million albums sold worldwide and two prestigious Diamond Awards (over 10 million albums sales in the USA for two separate albums) to their name, Def Leppard are one of the best loved bands in rock music. Since 1992, the band has consisted of Joe Elliott (lead vocals), Rick Savage (bass, backing vocals), Rick Allen (drums, backing vocals), Phil Collen (guitar, backing vocals) and Vivian Campbell (guitar, backing vocals).

Over the course of their stellar career, Def Leppard have sold out stadiums and arenas across the globe. Their trademark sound and groundbreaking albums, such as Pyromania and Hysteria, have earned them massive hits – with songs such as Pour Some Sugar On Me, Photograph, Hysteria, Let’s Get Rocked, Animal, Rock of Ages, When Love & Hate Collide and Love Bites dominating the airwaves globally. These powerful melodic rock anthems, along with their spectacular live shows are what makes Def Leppard one of the most impressive rock bands out there.

When Def Leppard last played Perth in 2011, they made sure their show coincided with Telethon, so they could help support a great cause they had heard about, from family friends living there. The band allowed 2 songs to be broadcast live to air from the nib Stadium. After the show, Def Leppard headed straight to the Telethon phone room to whip up some donation fever. The support didn't end there, they then joined the telecast again on Sunday evening to play live acoustically, to help set a new Telethon donation record.

Def Leppard will be supported by special guests Live. The USA quartet first achieved worldwide success with their 1994 album, Throwing Copper, which spawned the huge hits Lightening Crashes, I Alone and All Over You and has now sold over 10 million copies worldwide. This is the first time Australian audiences will be introduced to Live’s new front man, Chris Shinn, who joined the band in 2012.
