Rock Pop Festival, Westfalenhallen, Dortmund, WEST GERMANY  Germany.

Sunday, 18th December 1983  |

Show Notes

The second night of the two day Rock Pop Festival. This show was the last date to be played by Leppard in 1983 and some of the only widely available pro-shot footage from the Pyromania tour. It was also the last time the band used any pyrotechnics until the YEAH! tour in 2006. They had smoke bombs go off at the beginning and end of the set and roman candle-type pyro wheels spinning either side of the stage at the start of 'Rock of Ages'. One of the best and most interesting Lep performances on tape. The version of 'Wasted' is particularly outstanding.

The band appear to have played a longer set than is shown. The songs on the right are shown in the order of the broadcast but they probably played a few more than this. The audio of the show was included on the vinyl audience recordings "Young & Wild" and "Under Fire".
