  • Location / Atlanta, GA, USA
  • Venue / The Omni/Omni Coliseum

The first show by the band in this city since September 1981 on the High 'n' Dry tour.

The first time at this venue.

The opening night of a 24 date tour supporting Billy Squier on his 'Emotions In Motion' tour.

Billy had moved up to being a headline arena act after supporting Queen on their 1982 US tour (their last shows in the country).

The first North American concert appearance with Phil Collen on guitar. Billy had already been touring arena venues in the USA with Canadian band Saga in support.

The band attended a show by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band at the arena the night before. They had supported him at a stadium show in Cleveland in July 1980.

Bob Seger was playing the last of three shows at the venue with support act John Hall - 14th/15th and 17th March.

It was opened in October 1972 and located in the downtown are of the city.

The venue was closed in May 1997 and then demolished in July 1997.

The State Farm Arena now stands in its place which was opened in September 1999 as the Philips Arena.

The band dropped three songs for this tour leg with 12 songs played in all.

'Lady Strange', 'Overture' and 'Rocks Off' were never played live again after the 15th March show in Melun, France.

The encore song 'Travellin' Band' was kept in the setlist.
