Also on this day in 1999 the band attended the first Diamond Awards ceremony in New York where they received the award for the 'Hysteria' album. Artists were awarded for albums that had sold 10 million plus copies in the USA.

Earlier today the band announce a new album called 'Drastic Symphonies' which is due on 19th May and released the first single 'Animal'. The album has been recorded with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and contains 16 reworked classic songs.
