Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott appears on the new deluxe edition of Ian Hunter's Defiance Part 2 Fiction album.

The regular edition of the album 'Defiance Part 2: Fiction' was released on, Friday 19th April 2024, via Sun Records.

Featuring Joe guesting on the singles 'Precious' and 'People' and Phil Collen on 'This Ain't Rock And Roll'.

Defiance Part 2: Fiction Deluxe Edition

A 2LP coloured vinyl edition of the album was released on 20th April 2024 for Record Store Day featuring three exclusive extra tracks.

One of these featured Joe guesting on background vocals alongside Mike McCready (guitars) and Matt Cameron (drums) of Pearl Jam.

The song 'How’d Ya Like To Meet Henry' is now included with the other two as the three bonus tracks on a Deluxe Edition of the album.

The first time members of Def Leppard and Pearl Jam have played on a song together.

They were previously only available on the Record Store Day vinyl.

All three songs and the rest of the main album can be streamed below via Spotify and also on the linked YouTube playlist.

Retail Release Date - (Updated)

Although the official profiles for Ian Hunter say the album is "out now" it is only available to stream.

It's not currently listed on Amazon or other retail sites.

Curiously the release date listed on Spotify is 19th April suggesting you might be able to buy the bonus track tomorrow.

Update - And sure enough as it turned Saturday 19th in the UK the Deluxe Edition is now available to buy digitally.

Although it was not available on the 18th it lists the 18th April as the release date.

How’d Ya Like To Meet Henry

This piano and drum led track is similar to the other songs that feature Joe and Phil in that it's quite hard to hear their voices.

Joe is featured only on the main chorus.

The YouTube playliat linked below includes the two previously released lyric videos for 'Precious' and 'People' plus a new one for 'Normal Service Will Be Resumed As Soon As Possible'.
