Evening all, and welcome once again to The Joe Elliott Show, right here on Planet Rock. Where else? Great to be with you once again. We've got 60 minutes, in my humble opinion, of wonderful, wonderful music tonight.
Some new stuff as well, but we're going to start off with something that goes way back. Well, not that far back—1981. It's only 45 years ago.

AC/DC
From the last album that Mutt Lange produced for the band. That is AC/DC from 1981. The album is For Those About to Rock, and what we just heard was "Put the Finger on You."
Ricky Warwick
Right, absolutely brand-new stuff now. Get ready for some Fire and Vengeance. This is Ricky Warwick.
And before that, Ricky Warwick getting down with his bad self. I've never heard him so funky. It's from an upcoming album called Fire and Vengeance. It is released in September, and the song we heard, which features Phil Collen on lead guitar and backing vocals, "Seek Zen Destroy." Wonderful stuff.
Ghost
I had the great pleasure of duetting on that song with Tobias a couple of years ago, but I thought tonight I'd play the original.
It is Ghost, and the album is Impera. The song we heard was the wonderful "Spillways."
Argent
Here's a couple of songs made famous by the band Argent, but with a bit of a twist.
Starting off with um...Argent.
And before that, we heard the actual band themselves, Argent. The first song that I ever heard, back in 1972, the wonderful "Hold Your Head Up."
KISS
Yes, originally a hit for Argent back in 1973, but that is KISS, featuring Steve Vai on some of the solo bits. And I did not know that. It is taken from the Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey original soundtrack and featured on their Revenge album.
It is "God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You", or as KISS like to call it, "God Gave Rock and Roll to You II."

Television
And before that, we heard Television from 1977. All 10 minutes and 38 seconds of the title track of their debut album, Marquee Moon.
Ozzy Osbourne
So, this Wednesday gone was one year since the passing of the late, great Ozzy Osbourne, and I remember exactly where we were when we found out.
We were backstage at a gig in upstate New York, and once the news had filtered in and we had time to absorb it, one of the first things we did was grab the acoustic guitars and learn to play just a tiny bit of the song "Changes", which we performed that night with big pictures of Ozzy all over our giant screens.
It's what you do when you pay homage to somebody who meant something to you in your life.
We've known Ozzy since 1981, when we toured with Blizzard of Ozz, many, many, many times over the years. I was a huge admirer of his work, and he was a great supporter of his band, so it was a mutual love affair, I suppose.
But I wanted to play something this week from what has become my favourite album that he ever made.
And featuring Jeff Beck, we just did indeed hear the title track of the album Patient Number 9.
Keep resting in peace there, Ozzy—or rocking in peace, whichever you prefer.
Terrorvision
Okay, so from Television, we move swiftly on to Terrorvision.
And before that, we heard the wonderful Terrorvision, who opened for Def Leppard on the Slang tour back in 1996.
Taken from their album How to Make Friends and Influence People, we heard "Oblivion."
Tyrannosaurus Rex
Yes, long before he was a "20th Century Boy" or even a "Metal Guru", Marc Bolan was part of an elfin-like duo called Tyrannosaurus Rex.
And there they are, taken from their Flyback – The Best of Tyrannosaurus Rex collection, with "Once Upon the Seas of Abyssinia."
