Def Leppard 2023

Def Leppard and Motley Crue have just been announced to play HELLFEST in France next June on The World Tour 2023.

The World Tour 2023 is due to start in Mexico City in February 2023.

This first leg will comprise 6 shows in outdoor stadiums following the cancellation of two shows in Brazil.

The second leg starts in Sheffield in late May and sees them play 21 stadiums and/or festivals across UK, Ireland and Europe.

A third leg was announced earlier this month with 6 shows so far announced for a brief return to stadiums in the USA after The Stadium Tour 2022.

A new show has been added to the schedule today in Clisson, France.

Both Def Leppard and Motley Crue will be on the bill at HELLFEST in June 2023.

The show takes place on Friday 16th June and is the 21st UK/European show to be announced for 2023 on The World Tour.

Def Leppard's first visit here since June 2019.

Co-Headliners

Motley Crue close this event with Def Leppard playing before them as the co-headlining format continues.

This brings the number of UK/European shows to 21 with some of the gaps between shows suggesting more dates might be added.

Other Acts

KISS headline day one of the festival on 15th June with Iron Maiden following this show on the 17th.

Their bassist Steve Harris will play before Def Leppard on the Main Stage 1 with his side band British Lion.

Old tour mates from the 2003 X European tour Skid Row are also on the bill.

They are joined by Joe's Down 'n' Outz band mates in The Quireboys and Alter Bridge who played with Def Leppard at Download 2011 and in 2017 at the Carolina Rebellion show.

The third time at this festival which they headlined in June 2013 with the VIVA! Hysteria setlist.

The first show played after Vivian announced his cancer diagnosis.

A second visit in June 2019 saw them play before headliners KISS.

The venue is located in Clisson which is a commune 17 miles South East of the city of Nantes.

Nantes is on the Atlantic coast 238 miles to the South West of Paris.
