Def Leppard will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Los Angeles this October.

The honour was first announced in June 2023.

The 2024 honourees for the Hollywood Walk Of Fame were announced back in June 2023.

Def Leppard were included among those set to receive a star on the famous Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Los Angeles in 2024.

Today Variety have announced in an exclusive news update that the band will finally get the star in a ceremony in Hollywood on Thursday 9th October.

They will join over 2,800 stars on the Walk Of Fame.

Actress Fran Drescher gets the 2,822nd star tomorrow at 11:30am.

The Walk Of Fame Instagram account usually announces the ceremonies close to the times but has not yet posted about this one (Update - now they have - see below).

All ceremonies are streamed live online by them and usually take place at 11:30am PT.

A new group of entertainment professionals in the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Radio, Recording, and Sports Entertainment have been selected to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by the Walk of Fame Selection Panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. These honorees were chosen from among hundreds of nominations to the committee at a meeting held on June 16, 2023 and ratified by the Hollywood Chamber’s Board of Directors on June 21, 2023.
