Def Leppard played a Summer Stadium Tour 2024 show last night in San Diego, CA with 18 songs performed.
The show took place at the 42,445 capacity Petco Park.
The first show in this city since August 2022.
The third time at this venue.
Show Three In California
The Summer Stadium Tour Night #3 in California.
The third of three stadium shows in California saw the band return to the city where they played their first headline stadium show in September 1983.
Suitably on the Pyromania tour at Jack Murphy Stadium in front of over 40,000 fans.
A show which ended the mainland portion of that tour and just a week after the two night run at the L.A. Forum.
A return this time to Petco Park and another show started in sunshine and no need for a roof.
Which is handy as like San Francisco here was no retractable roof available here.
The Steve Miller Band played their last show on this tour and later Joe said they had been "f**king amazing!".
Cheap Trick will be back for the last two stadium shows.
Three more shows with Journey to come and they played another set going from daylight into night time.
Billy In San Diego
Another slightly slow start online but not in the stadium as the big intro of 'Rock! Rock!' and 'Rocket' kicked things off again.
Footage later confirmed that 'Billy's Got A Gun' was the opening choice of the mid set Pyromania section.
A great live video captured a magnificent 'Die Hard The Hunter' and most of the acoustic set.

The two song 'Hysteria' ending to the show was also broadcast live and the crowd sounded LOUD.
As you would expect with a sold out crowd of up to 35,000 fans.
In keeping with his baseball habit Sav wore a San Diego Padres shirt for the last two songs.
And, as with Hollywood, FL, during the acoustic section he had a little fun wearing some shades and an interesting shirt (along with Rick) much to Joe's amusement.
Up next a return to arenas for the first time since 2019 in Portland, OR with Journey only.
18 Song Setlist
An 18 song setlist was played.
'Just Like '73' was played in this city for the first time.
San Diego History
The first visit to San Diego was in November 1981 at the Fox Theatre with Blackfoot during the High 'n' Dry tour.
The band's first headline stadium show took place at Jack Murphy Stadium in September 1983 on the Pyromania tour.
Petco Park was played with Journey in 2018 and again with Motley Crue in 2022 on The Stadium Tour.
Last night's show was the 17th overall performance in San Diego.
The next Def Leppard show takes place in Portland, OR on 2nd September.
