Def Leppard played a Summer Stadium Tour 2024 show last night in Pittsburgh, PA with 18 songs performed.
The show took place at the 38,747 capacity PNC Park.
The first show in this city since August 2022.
The second time at this venue.
Rock By The River
Show #9 on The Summer Stadium Tour saw the band back in Pittsburgh.
A return to a stadium known for having one of the most scenic views of all Major League Baseball stadiums.
Last time played mostly in daylight before Motley Crue in August 2022 but this time Def Leppard closed the show in darkness.
PNC Park located not far from Acrisure Stadium (formerly Heinz Field) which was the scene of their first stadium appearance in Pittsburgh in July 2003 at the Rolling Rock Town Fair IV event.
The Steve Miller Band and Journey got things started in bright sunshine and more 30C heat.
The view of Downtown Pittsburgh, the Allegheny River and the bright yellow Roberto Clemente bridge a stunning backdrop for fans in the stands.
By the time Def Leppard started their closing set at 9:30pm this view was all lit up.
Ready for more Pyromania.
And ready for more fan videos to take centre stage as the usual photo posts were once again slow online.
Billy In Pittsburgh
'Billy's Got A Gun' was played once more after it's main tour debut in Hershey.
Sav also wore a baseball shirt for the last two songs as he had in Philadelphia.
This time the local team shirt for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
After three shows in a row in the state of Pennsylvania the band now move on the Ohio.
Cleveland will be rocked by England (and Northern Ireland).
The weather for this one still looks bad but hopefully won't be too bad on the day.
18 Song Setlist
An 18 song setlist was played.
'Just Like '73' was played in this city for the first time and 'Billy's Got A Gun' keeping its place.
Pittsburgh History
The first visit to Pittsburgh was in July 1980 at the Stanley Theatre as support to Judas Priest along with the Scorpions.
The last visit here in August 2022 was the first time at PNC Park when they played before Motley Crue.
Last night's show was the 22nd overall performance in Pittsburgh.
The next Def Leppard show takes place in Cleveland, OH on 30th July.
