Def Leppard played a Summer Stadium Tour 2024 show last night in Philadelphia, PA with 18 songs performed.

The show took place at the 43,035 capacity Citizens Bank Park stadium.

The first show in this city since June 2022.

The second time at this venue.

Setting Philadelphia Alight

Like Nashville the weather did not look so good a couple of days before this show but once again the skies cleared.

As described by Rick Allen before show time it was a perfect night.

No early starts times, delays or storms in Philadelphia.

Playing before a massive crowd of 38,000 plus the band took the stage at 9:30pm.

'Rock! Rock!' opening once more and the hits kept coming as filmed by many fans who broadcast most of the show.

Including the full acoustic section.

This came after the now usual mid set Pyromania fest including 'Die Hard The Hunter'.

Which may be slightly edited but still contains the awesome middle guitar solo section.

Philadelphia Phillies Shirt

Sav came out for the last two songs wearing a blue Phillies baseball shirt.

The back had Number 24 on it and the name "Savage" in yellow above it.

As with many past shows it's likely the whole band were presented with shirts before show time.

There may have been a gap of 15 long years between the 2003 and 2018 shows in this city but they are now making up for it with a second stadium show in two years.

Having played before Motley Crue in 2022 this was the first time the band closed out a stadium show in Philadelphia.

Next up is Hershey where everything also looks good weather wise at least for show time.

18 Song Setlist

The full 18 song setlist was played.

Both 'Just Like '73' and 'Comin' Under Fire' were played in this city for the first time.

Philadelphia History

The first visit to Philadelphia took place in July 1980 at The Spectrum on their first American tour.

In July 2005 the band played the city as part of the Live 8 global charity concert event. Performing three songs in front of an estimated crowd of 1 million people.

The last visit here in June 2022 was the first time at Citizens Bank Park and their first stadium show in the city.

Last night's show was the the 12th overall performance in Philadelphia.

The next Def Leppard show takes place in Hershey, PA on 25th July.
