Def Leppard played a Summer Stadium Tour 2024 show last night in Orlando, FL with 18 songs performed.
The show took place at the 60,219 capacity Camping World Stadium.
The first show in this city since June 2022.
The second time at this venue.
Setting Florida Alight!
Almost 40,000 fans in a packed stadium in the summer in the USA.
A new habit for the band and hot temperatures of over 30C.
The Florida heat greeting the band for show #2 on The Summer Stadium Tour.
Two years on from show #3 on the Stadium Tour where they were hit with storms delaying the start of that show.
No delays this time.
Joe acknowledged just how hot it had been at the end of the show (in his own way...).
Pyromania
The show would start just after 9:30pm local time and the Pyromania began again with 'Rock! Rock!'.
And unlike 2022 this show would see many photos/videos posted by fans in the vast stadium.
Lots of live broadcasts too showing much of the action.
The band sounding great and in spectacular form again for only their third performance of the year.
The other one of course was in a pub in Burnley, England for the second Bank of Dave movie (arriving sometime in 2025).
A few more people were in attendance for this show.
And next up is the scene of the first show of the "Drought Relief" section of The Stadium Tour in Atlanta, GA.
Weather looks good but if the band were hoping for less heat...they will be somewhat disappointed to see it's due to be 35C! on Saturday.
Outside of some Texas shows this may turn out to be one of the highest temperatures they've ever played in.
Pyromania indeed.
Stadium Heat Policy
A local TV news channel reported the stadium had updated its bottled water policy due to the extreme heat.
Fan were allowed to bring in their own water.
18 Song Setlist
The same 18 song setlist was played from night one.
Both 'Just Like '73' and 'Comin' Under Fire' were played in this city for the first time.
Orlando History
The first visit to Orlando was an In The Round show on the Hysteria tour in December 1987.
One of the least played of the major cities in Florida.
The last visit here in June 2022 was also their first time at Camping World Stadium.
Last night's show was the 6th overall performance in Orlando.
The next Def Leppard show takes place in Atlanta, GA on 13th July.
