Def Leppard played a Summer Stadium Tour 2024 show last night in Detroit, MI with 18 songs performed.
The show took place at the 41,297 capacity Comerica Park.
The first show in this city since July 2022.
The third time at this venue.
Detroit Rock City
Would there be storms here?.
No there would not be and the weather was almost perfect and much cooler for the return to Detroit (Rock City).
No early starts or delays at this show which once again was opened by the Steve Miller Band.
A very slow start to the show in terms of online fan postings but it picked up in the middle with a great broadcast showing the middle Pyromania section.
Awesome versions of 'Comin' Under Fire', 'Too Late For Love' and 'Die Hard The Hunter'.
Following a thumping version of 'Just LIke '73'
The Acoustic Section Returns
After being cut in Chicago due to the early start the full acoustic section returned.
'Two Steps Behind', 'This Guitar' and 'BOTH' were all back.
Plus the very much electric 'Switch 625'.
Up next Nashville where the weather looks...actually not good with thunder and rain forecast during show time and the next few days after.
Hopefully not bad enough to threaten the show or cause any disruption.
First Show 46th Anniversary
This day marked 46 years since the band's very first public live show in Sheffield on 18th July 1978.

18 Song Setlist
The full 18 song setlist was played.
Both 'Just Like '73' and 'Comin' Under Fire' were played in this city for the first time.
Detroit History
The first visit to Detroit took place in August 1981 supporting Ozzy Osbourne during the High 'n' Dry tour.
Four In The Round show would take place in this city between 1987 to 1992 on the Hysteria (x3) and Adrenalize (x1) tours.
The last visit here in July 2022 was the second time at this stadium venue after playing here already with Journey in 2018.
Last night's show was the the 26th overall performance in Detroit.
The next Def Leppard show takes place in Nashville, TN on 20th July.
