DEF LEPPARD Start Live 2026 Summer Tour In Sweden (Show Report/Setlist)
Def Leppard played a Live 2026 tour show in Rättvik, Sweden last night with 19 songs performed.
The show took place at the 4 to 6,000 capacity Dalhalla.
The band's first ever show in Rättvik.
The first night of the summer Live 2026 tour leg and first show since March.
Def Leppard In Sweden
The band regrouped earlier in the week for a few days of rehearsals before flying on to Sweden.
A slight contrast to the last show in the heat of Bengaluru, India at the end of March.
Cool tempertures and rainy skies in central Sweden greeted them on show day.
The venue a spectacular setting of a fairly small outdoor amphitheatre set within a former limestone quarry.
The quarry situated within a forest area over 160 miles north of Stockholm.
Fans travelling by bus and/or by campervans and staying overnight in the car park.
Rock Of Ages
Show time came at 9am local time with the rain gone and the sun still very much up.
The fans entering the venue at 6:30pm travelling down and around the roads winding down into the bottom of the quarry.
The stage and seating area surrounded on one side by water with the huge fountain turned on as the crowd gathered for the show.
A setting that rivals both Red Rocks in Colorado and The Gorge in Washington as one of the most scenic venues the band have played in their 48 years of touring.
'Rejoice' opened the show once more as the band began the Live 2026 European tour in this amazing venue.
On a stage that looks like a spaceship has landed inside the quarry.
'Rocket' would of course be played during the first half of the show as fans posted many photos and video clips.
The setlist stayed mostly faithful to the one played in February and March in Las Vegas and in India.
But a little later on some short clips revealed a change.
Setlist Changes
'When Love & Hate Collide' was played for the first time in 2026 near the end of the show in a change from the 'Vegas/India' set.
A song always first on the setlist for UK shows and often added in ahead of a UK tour.
The only surprise being that it wasn't played a bit later but there are now just four more shows to go until they hit the UK.
'Foolin'' was cut out of the setlist along with the extended guitar intro to 'White Lighting'.
Sunset In Sweden
Apart from those changes the band played their well rehearsed setlist that thrilled fans in Las Vegas and India earlier this year.
Backed by a stage almost as big as the residency show and with the same cool video screen content.
All the footage so far shows the sold out crowd in this great venue enjoyed every second of the band's first visit here.
A great way to start the summer tour and as they ended the show the crowd were treated to an amzing sunset to just cap things off.
Joe was particularly impressed by the venue telling fans:
"what a f***ing amazing place this is!."
And that he hoped the band could come back in the future.
Looking at the photos and videos you can see why!.
Two days off now before they head back to Helsinki in Finland for the second and last show of the brief Scandinavian visit.
Heading back indoors for a big arena show.
19 Song Setlist
'Rejoice' and all other songs played live in Rättvik for the first time.
'When Love & Hate Collide' added in for this show ahead of the UK shows and for the first time in 2026.
'Foolin'' dropped from the setlist which would seem to be one that will be played throughout June/July and especially in the UK.
