Def Leppard released the 2LP picture disc edition of their self-titled studio album for Record Store Day on this day in 2016.

Record Store Day took place on this day 16th April in 2016.

The first ever Record Store Day release by the band was priced at 26.99 pounds (UK) and limited to 1,000 copies.

The picture disc featured the main album artwork on disc one side A and Ross Halfin promo photos on sides B, C and D.

This 2LP set was also released in Germany today where it was limited to 500 copies.

It followed on from Joe Elliott's Down 'n' Outz who had released the 'Down 'n' Outz EP' in 2015 to become the first Def Leppard or related Record Store Day release.

The band's 2020 RSD release was delayed from Saturday 18th April to Saturday 20th June due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
