Def Leppard and Motley Crue's The Stadium Tour 2022 has been voted as Rock Tour Of The Year at the annual Pollstar awards.

The ceremony took place on 22nd February in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The Stadium Tour ran in the USA and Canada for 36 shows from June to September 2022.

The tour sold over 1.3 million tickets and saw both bands play their biggest ever shows in North America.

In fact the biggest run of shows of their career with both never previously having played a major stadium tour.

The Pollstar Awards are voted for by industry members with The Stadium Tour coming top in the Rock Tour Of The Year category.

The voting for the awards was opened in November 2022.

The Stadium Tour was up for two awards - Major Tour Of The Year and Rock Tour Of The Year where they beat Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Rolling Stones to first place.

The Major Tour Of The Year award went to Harry Styles.

Joe and Nikki Sixx sent a video message to the awards ceremony which was recorded backstage in Mexico City.

Previous Pollstar wins include the 2006 YEAH! tour winning Most Creative Tour Package in 2007.

The 2018 Def Leppard/Journey tour was also nominated for Best Rock Tour.
