DEF LEPPARD Live 2026 Summer Tour In Sheffield (Show Report/Setlist)
Def Leppard played a Live 2026 tour show in Sheffield, England last night with 19 songs performed.
The show took place at the 13,600 capacity Utilita Arena Sheffield.
The band's first visit to their original home city of Sheffield since May 2023.
The 12th overall time at this venue.
Diamond Star Heroes Return Home
After a triumphant return to UK arena venues up in Glasgow, Scotland the band headed to their bass player's current home city.
And the original home city of the band, Sheffield, where it all began in 1977.
253 miles or so south of the last show the band came back to Sheffield Arena, currently known as Utilita Arena (Sheffield).
Not to be confused with the Utiita Arenas in Newcastle and Cardiff and Birmingham.
A return after three years since the double header of The Leadmill show and the huge stadium show at Bramall Lane.
Two shows that were filmed and released to stand alongside the footage from Don Valley Stadium in 1993 and The Wapentake acoustic show from 1995.
Something a little bit different took place before show time with an unexpected appearance just outside the arena.
Involving a different type of animal.
Paw Some Sugar
A Lion statue called 'Paw Some Sugar' had been placed outside the arena as part of the celebrations of 150 years of the Sheffield Children's Hospital.
All of the band posed for a photo with the lioness after signing it.
The statue was ceated by David Allen and Craig Turner.
Sheffield Arens Rock
Just over 34 years since they first played here for two nights on the Adrenalize tour with their In The Round stage, the band were back to rock Sheffield Arena.
An arena opened by Queen Elizbeth II and this would be their first time back since her death.
The first time back to the arena in fact since December 2018.
'Let's Get Rocked' had been played for the first time in England at the 1992 shows along with 'White Lightning'.
Two songs tonight would also be played for the first time in England in 'Personal Jesus'.
And 'Rejoice' which once again kicked off the show at 9pm.
As you can see and hear from all the videos it may have been VERY quiet indeed online during this one but the home town crowd were loud and the band played another great show.
The full 19 song setlist played again in a UK arena and a suitably fantastic home town show with a party atmosphere.
The crowd were as loud as both Glasgow and Belfast.
Extreme-ly Special Guest On Slang
Just after the show ended some fans posted a few video clips that revealed a slightly different moment in the middle of the show.
Following in the footsteps of another guitarist (Tom Morello) in summer 2025, Nuno Bettencourt of special guests Extreme joined the band during 'Slang'.
After playing another great opening set with his main band he came back for more.
Nuno joined in with the whole of the song and sang background vocals alongside Phil before jamming with Phil, Vivian and Sav on the new Thrust Stage during the mid section.
He was also wearing a Pyromania-like cut-off Union Jack shirt for the occasion.
See Fan Videos for footage of this moment.
Goodnight Sheffield
Joe later shared memories of the band's first show at Westfield School and unknown to most fans the original drummer Tony Kenning was in the crowd on Vivian's side watching the show.
It may not have been filmed for a live album, DVD or Blu-ray or even live streamed on VEEPS but this was another great home town show for the band.
Over ten and counting at this venue alone.
And now they move on to other UK arenas with just three more to play before they end the tour leg in Paris.
One of these arenas has never been played before.
Next up the band move down south to London and a return to another recent live concert video filming venue.
19 Song Setlist
'Rejoice', 'Personal Jesus' and 'Just Like '73' were all played here for the first time.
Sheffield History

Sheffield City Hall was then played again in 1981, 1983 and twice in 1987 on the Hysteria tour.
Sheffield Arena was played for two nights In The Round in June 1992 on the Adrenalize tour.
Don Valley Stadium was played in 1993 on the same tour.
In 1995 they were back for a Vaulr acoustic show at The Wapentake club.
