DEF LEPPARD's JOE ELLIOTT Appears On New GHOST Single/Video Spillways

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott is featured on the new single by Swedish band Ghost which is released on 26th January.

Joe appears on a new version of their song 'Spillways' which can be previewed below.

The single artwork features the familiar Def Leppard triangle in red/yellow with the Ghost logo over the top and the title written in Def Leppard pyrite font.

The original song was released in March 2022 on their fifth studio album 'Impera' and has been previously played by Joe on his weekly Planet Rock radio show.

It was also released as a single in July 2022.

'Impera' reached Number 2 in both the UK and US album charts and Number 1 in their native Sweden.

During the 31st December 2022 edition of The Joe Elliott Show Joe played 'Spillways' and said 'Impera' was his favourite rock album of 2022.

The preview video released for the single features Joe in a Dublin bar being asked by a local to take part in a karaoke session.

He then puts down his pint of Guinness and gets up to sing along to the song.

The Ghost song begins and he joins in with some effects added - watch it all on YouTube

Not the first video to feature Joe drinking in a Dublin bar.

He appeared in the Down 'n' Outz video for 'One Of The Boys' in 2014 pretending to be drunk in the Temple Bar area of the city.

U2 fans may recognise the pub as the Blue Light Pub where bassist Adam Clayton was arrested in 1989 for possession of marijuana.

It also happens to be a local pub near Joe's home.

This collaboration comes just after news of Joe appearing on the new Ian Hunter album which is due out on 21st April.
