Def Leppard's classic Hysteria album was certified 3 times platinum in Canada on this day in 1987.
The album had been released on 3rd August 1987 around the world.
'Hysteria' entered the Canadian Top 100 chart on 15th August 1987 at Number 84.
It would go on to reach Number One in September 1988 and spend five weeks there going into later October. Just over two months after it had reached the same position in the US Billboard chart.
It was certified 3 x platinum on this day in 1987 for sales of over 300,000 copies and would eventually reach Diamond status in the country by the end of 1988.
'Love Bites' was also ranked 51st on the Top 100 Canadian singles of the year for 1988.
