Def Leppard's first Top Of The Pops performance of When Love & Hate Collide from 1995 will be re-broadcast on BBC Four later in February.

The band performed on the show on 28th September 1995.

The full original episode is shown again by BBC Four on 23rd February.

The first time this full show has been broadcast since the original air date in 1995.

Top Of The Pops September 1995

This performance was an exclusive filmed five days ahead of the release of the single which would go on to become their biggest UK hit.

The current Number One by Simply Red was also performed on the show and was the song which kept Def Leppard off the top spot.

Band friends Bon Jovi appeared on the same show with a 'live by satellite' version of 'Something For The Pain' from their 'These Days' album.

The week after this re-broadcast should see the 12th October 1995 episode also shown again and the band's second performance of the song on the show.

Both performances were shown again on TOTP2 at the time and are currently not among the songs uploaded by the band on YouTube or iTunes/Apple Music.

This first show was presented by DJ's Steve Lamacq and Jo Whiley.

UPDATE - DATE CHANGE

This episode has now been rescheduled for Friday 1st March.

This should still be followed a week later by performance #2 which was briefly shown on the listings before the episodes were moved around - likely due to the death of DJ and Presenter Steve Wright earlier this week.

A 1986 episode featuring him is shown tonight (16th February) in place of the 1989 'Rocket' one.

The show page now has a photo of Joe from this performance in place.
