Atlantic City, NJ - Media Reviews
The band is continuing to push its latest studio album Diamond Star Halos which arrived last May via UMe. They wasted to time pulling from the new material, kicking off their set with “Take What You Want.” They also broke out two more tracks from the record – “This Guitar” and the lead single “Kick.”
This year, the band is celebrating the 40th anniversary of their landmark LP Pyromania. The band dropped “Foolin'” early in the set, and they brought the show to a close with back-to-back bangers “Rock of Ages” and “Photograph.”
At this point in their career, every song at a Def Leppard show is a banger.
Despite 2023 marking four decades of Pyromania, it was the band’s 1987 diamond-certified crown jewel Hysteria that spent the most time in the spotlight. The first was “Animal,” which is unmistakable from the very first note. The crowd immediately erupted. The band proceeded to let loose five more tracks from the record, including its title track.
Other highlights included “Let’s Get Rocked,” “Promises,” “Rocket,” “Bringin’ on the Heartbreak,” “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” and more.
